Between the first quarter of 2009 and the first quarter of 2010, watching video on the Internet grew 2.6% — over 400% faster than watching TV in the home, which grew a mere 0.6%. The duration of the average online video was 4.3 minutes.

In the same time frame, the total number of minutes watching online video in the first quarter of 2010 by age group is:

Ages 18-24…5:33 minutes

Ages 25-34…4:30 minutes

Ages 35-49…3:34 minutes

Ages 50-64…2:20 minutes
